Olathe Chapter Helps Make Birthdays Special at Fisher House KC
This fall, to coincide with our Nation’s 250th birthday, the Olathe Chapter, NSDAR, Inc. was pleased to support Fisher House Kansas City with a donation of birthday party supplies to help veterans and their families celebrate special moments while staying at the Fisher House.
The donation included 28 cake mixes, 21 containers of frosting, 2 packages of cornbread mix, 4 containers of sprinkles, 4 packages of paper plates, balloons, streamers, and birthday signs. These supplies will give families the opportunity to celebrate birthdays and create happy memories together during their time at Fisher House.
We are grateful for the opportunity to support Fisher House KC and the families they serve. Sometimes, a cake, colorful decorations, and a little celebration can bring a much-needed sense of joy and normalcy to a difficult time.
