The Olathe Chapter, NSDAR (National Society Daughters of the American Revolution) is a vibrant community of women dedicated to historic preservation, supporting education, honoring veterans, and serving our local community. We invite women who share our passion for history and civic service to join us.
Who Can Join?
Membership in the DAR is open to any woman 18 years or older who can prove lineal, bloodline descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence is eligible to join the DAR. She must provide documentation for each statement of birth, marriage and death, as well as of the Revolutionary War service of her Patriot ancestor.
Fun Fact: All of our members can trace their ancestry back to soldiers, Patriots, and supporters of the American Revolutionary War from the 1700s, which connects us directly to the founding of our nation!
You don’t need to be a professional historian or genealogist. If you have a documented connection to a Patriot, you’re eligible to join. Members come from all walks of life, united by a love of history, community service, and education. If you don’t know where to start but want to see if you have any American Revolutionary ancestry, contact us and we’ll help you figure it out.

Verify Your Lineage – Work with our chapter’s Registrar to document your ancestry. We’ll guide you through every step!

Meet the Chapter – Attend meetings or events to learn more about our projects, members, and community initiatives.

Submit Your Application – Once your lineage is verified, your membership can be approved and you’ll officially become part of our chapter.
