Honoring the Past Through Service at Olathe Memorial Cemetery

On September 21, 2025, three members and one husband of a DAR member worked at Olathe Memorial Cemetery. Preserving and caring for Olathe’s history.  Members recently spent time caring for the historic DAR Circle. With fall leaves piling up, we raked and blew leaves, pulled weeds (some nearly half a body tall!), and cleared overgrowth to keep the space looking respectful and cared for.

Historic cemeteries remind us of the lives and legacies that shaped our communities. By maintaining these grounds, we honor those who came before us and help ensure that future generations can experience this piece of local history. A little work goes a long way in keeping Olathe Memorial Cemetery clean, cared for, and beautiful.
