The Olathe Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution is excited to announce the
creation of a brand-new scholarship opportunity for high school seniors in Johnson County,
Kansas!
In celebration of America 250!, this scholarship honors the upcoming 250th anniversary of our nation’s founding in a meaningful and lasting way. Just as the American Revolution spanned eight pivotal years, the Olathe DAR has approved a scholarship that will be awarded annually for eight years, with funding of $250 per year.
For the next eight years, a deserving high school senior will be selected to receive a $250
scholarship, renewable for up to three additional years, for a potential total of $1,000 toward
higher education or trade school training.
Applicants will be asked to respond to the prompt: “If you could eyewitness an American
historical event, which would you choose and why?”
This scholarship reflects the Olathe DAR’s ongoing commitment to education, patriotism, and investing in the next generation of leaders. We are proud to support students as they pursue their academic and career goals while encouraging an appreciation for America’s rich history.
